January 09 SOTM from Shadow Of the Day
Shadow of the Day starts the new year with Amy's gorgeous site Sweet Escape as its SOTM ! I've been wanted to give this award to Amy since forever, and I think now is the best time because she's been doing masterpieces lately, and it just keeps getting better and better everytime she updates. I am a big fan of Amy's art and dazzling layout designs, she never stopped surprising me ever since I first visited her site.
As you probably already had the pleasure to notice, Amy is a very talented artist. One glimbse at her artwork and you are completely seduced. It's because her pieces have some kind of magic aura, IMO. Just look at her Twilight artwork, it's magnifiscent ! I personally think that Amy's one of the best Twilight fanartist of the community, because of the way she both captures the "scenes" of the books and their magical feeling. She litterally brings the characters and moments to life, it's very impressive. And may I mention her technical skills too ? I'm so jealous of her focus, because she always manages to fill her convas and keep a neat and un-crowded composition. She's a constant source inspiration to me and, I'm sure, to many many others too.

Thinking back to more the a year ago I remember getting a tag from someone asking to be affiliates. This was Amy@SweetEscape. I remember her first layout and ever since then her site has grown into one of the best sites around. Her art is one of the many I look to for inspiration. She has her own unique edge and ideas to her pieces. Her Twilight art is some of the best art around. I look forward to the next update Amy and hope that your site is around for years to come.

I've been acquainted with Amy's art for about a year now and it's amazing how ahe's developed and really become her own over that time. Most prominent has been her Twilight art which is so amazing and extensive I can hardly believe it's just one person making it sometimes! Another amazing part of Amy's art is her manipulations. Again, I've watched her go from beginner to expert. Some of her newest manipulations are close to flawless and I can stare at them for long periods of time in wonder and awe. Which is why I'm making her this month's Site of the Month!

This month's site of the month is Sweet Escape, owned by Amy. Amy's art has really come into its own in the past couple of months, and I have really admired the pieces she has done lately - they have been fantastic, and she's managed to churn out so many pieces it is amazing! She's got hundreds of icons for you to check out too, not to mention some textures and stocks for download to use in your art. I have found myself visiting more and more frequently to check out her new art, and wanted to award Amy with this little gift for producing such lovely Twilight art that has me visiting daily!
